Psalm 50: 23

[23] A sacrifice of praise honours me,

and the one who orders his way,

I will show the salvation of God”

I received a short dream this morning, a dream that is profound in its meaning. A dream that I believe is from the Lord, and an indicator of the soon departure of the faithful believers. I would like to share it with the brethren, whom am sure, will find it instructive and edifying.

The dream is thus:

It was late afternoon, and I was on a journey. Although I was on this journey, I did not have any bags with me; not even a jacket or a sweater.

My journey began at this residential house. Some people in the house tried to persuade me to have lunch with them, but I refused. I knew that if I did, then I would not make it to the bus station on time. So I turned down the offer for lunch despite their passionate appeal, and began to make my way to the bus station.

As I was going, I could feel great urgency in me, knowing that not much time was now left, and every moment now was counting. I knew absolutely, that I could not afford to miss this bus. It is a bus that I had waited for, for a long time.

I got to the bus station, and an attendant at the station spotted me, and came to me. He handed me a ticket, and pointed to two busses that were already parked at the station and getting ready to go.

“Yours is the children’s bus,” the attendant said to me, pointing to the closer of the two buses.

I took the ticked with my right hand and looked at it.  On it was printed the Number 17.

A short but very big lady came running towards me as soon as I received the ticket in my hand. She was about 5 feet 5 inches tall but she looked like she weighed 300 pounds (150 Kgs) or more. She wore a sleeveless blouse, and a short skirt that hardly went below her knees. I saw her legs and her arms; her skin in the arms and legs was folded in layers because of too much fat.

I looked at her right elbow, and saw that it was bleeding. I believe she had tried to enter the children’s bus but could not because the door width was too small for her. In the process of trying to force herself into the bus, her right elbow got bruised and began to bleed.

She had some vegetable salad packed in a small transparent container, and I could see through the container. She came and handed the container to me. In her face was profoundly remorseful. I could see a profound sense of loss written all over her face. Surprisingly, I took the packed food from her hand and proceeded to the bus.

I got onto the bus and inside were seated little children. The children, boys and girls, were all of similar age. They looked to be perhaps 6 to 8 years old, and not older than that.

The dream ended.

My Interpretation:

[1.]       The Number 17 pointing to Noah’s Ark

This morning, I have tried to look through the scriptures for the significance of this number 17, and this is what I have come up with as its relevance:

On the 17th day of the second month in the 600th Year of Noah, the fountains broke and the windows of heaven opened, and the greatest flood occurred here on Earth, in which all flesh that were on the surface of the earth perished. Then the Ark rested on the mountains of Ararat on the 17th of the seventh month.

Although we are not told explicitly in the Bible, it is also possible that the animals that were chosen to go into the Ark of Noah were the infant animals, and not the parents, because of weight, food, and other factors.

Noah’s Ark was a type and foreshadow of the Rapture of the church. Therefore No. 17 is pointing us to the Rapture of the church, the taking away of the true and faithful believers of Jesus Christ.

[2.]       The Children pointing to Purity, Holiness and Righteousness

The Lord Jesus tells us that the Kingdom of God is for those who will become like children. That is, innocent, without sin, honest, dependent on the parent (God), etc.

Thus, the dream is telling us that it is therefore incumbent for us, as adults to transform and become like children.

[3.]       “Eating and drinking” and other sins of this World

The friends who passionately wanted me to remain and eat lunch with them, represent those who are still “eating and drinking” “marrying and giving in marriage” and unaware of the times we are now living in.

The fat lady is representative of many things:-

(a.) Gluttony and greed of food, which the Bible terms as Idolatry.

(b.) Addiction to food, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and other substances.

(c.)  Stiff-necked and hard headed people who are unwilling to change and adapt to holy Christian living.

(d.) People who are still working very hard for the goods of this world, and do not have the time to prepare for the Heavenly Kingdom. People who are still going on with their lives without prayer, reading the Word of God, etc.

(e.) The corrupt and unjust people of this world who are still amassing wealth. And those who are engaged in all sorts of sins.

(f.)  The puffed up, proud and arrogant of this world.

(g.) Her short clothing is also representative of the immoral and provocative clothing that is today called “fashion”. And the resultant sexual depravity and immorality of the present world.

All these things, the Lord cannot allow on the Children’s bus.

It is therefore incumbent on us as adults to keep repenting always of our sins, praying and asking the Lord to change us so that we can conform to His image and the image of a little child.

The work of preparing the Bride of Christ is the work of the Holy Spirit, and we should submit fully to Him and adapt to any adjustments and changes that He will tell us to make.

RELEVANT SCRIPTURES:

Deliverance through the Flood (TLV)

Genesis 7: 10-12

[10] After the seven days, the flood-waters were upon the land. [11] In the six-hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day, all the water sources of the great deep burst open, and the windows of the sky were opened. [12] Then there was rain upon the land 40 days and 40 nights.

Genesis 8: 4

[4] The Ark came to rest in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

Childlike Humility (TLV)

Matthew 18: 2-5

[2] And He called a child to Himself, set him in the midst of them, [3] and said, “Amen, I tell you, unless you turn and become like children, you shall never enter the kingdom of heaven. [4] Whoever then shall humble himself like this child, this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. [5] And whoever welcomes one such child in My name, welcomes Me.

Luke 18: 15-17

[15] Now they were bringing even their babies to Yeshua, so He might touch them. But when the disciples saw this, they began to rebuke them. [16] But Yeshua called for them, saying, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. [17] Amen, I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

The Coming of the Son of Man (NKJV)
Luke 17: 26 – 30

[26] And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: [27] They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. [28] Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; [29] but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. [30] Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Enter through the Narrow Gate (TLV)
Matthew 7: 13-14

[13] “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. [14] How narrow is the gate and difficult the way that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

Luke 13: 24

[24] “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.

Mark 10: 25

[25] It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Be encouraged and be blessed!
