On March 29, while I was in worship, I beheld the Throne of God. From all around the Throne flowed the River of the Water of Life. As I gazed upon it, I felt the glory of God so intensely. I saw that the water flowing from the Throne carried glory, the love and grace of God, healing, restoration, and all the abundance found in Him. It was a satisfaction so profound, and that fulfillment was an ever-flowing, inexhaustible stream…

I blurted out and asked the Lord: “How did this come to be?”

In an instant, the scene changed. Thick, dark clouds enveloped the earth; people could not see one another, only blurred shadows. I saw Calvary. I saw the Lord upon the Cross; His side was pierced, and blood and water flowed from His side…

At that moment, an old hymn echoed in my heart:“Rock of Ages, Cleft For Me.” My tears flowed uncontrollably; I could not stop.

“Many desire to sit with Me on the Throne, yet they do not wish to carry the Cross with Me. Many desire to experience miracles, yet they do not want to count those seemingly ordinary graces in the mundane stillness of daily life.

My children, many long to reach their ideal ‘highest calling,’ yet they do not want to emulate My likeness as a servant. Many want to reign with Me, yet they do not want to hear My voice telling them: Go,humble yourself, become a servant to all, and serve the least of these.

They rush to be near the famous and serve the great, while ignoring the poor and the insignificant whom I have placed by their side. Some exert all their effort in the sight of men to show they belong to Me; yet in private, in the smallest of matters, they do not value them, thinking I do not care. Many want powerbut do not want to be broken; they want visions, dreams, spiritual gifts, and authority—they do not want Me; they only want the blessings they desire.

My children, you see My Throne—where did it begin? It began at the Cross. You see the River of the Water of Life flowing from My Throne—that is the blood and water from My side, given for you. Do you perceive it?

This means you must consider: How are you walking your life’s journey? Are you living in surrender and following? What have you learned on this way? Have you seen victory in the midst of failure and frustration? Have you seen exaltation within shame? Do you feel My love and grace through My correction? Do you truly know Me as your God in the midst of loss? Do you sense My presence in loneliness? Can you touch glory in the darkness?

My children, you know what I am saying; you will understand My will. I gave My all to you; what was accomplished on the Cross was life brought forth through death. This is the “Ancient Paths” (Jeremiah 6:16): experiencing glory through shame, the Righteous One substituting for the unrighteous. You see light radiating from My scars; this light is no longer only within Me—I share this light with you, that you may walk in My light and be purified.

My child, I have given My life to you; are you willing to walk with Me? Are you willing to walk the Way of the Cross? I give My life to you; are you willing to suffer loss for My sake? Are you willing to serve Me without the affirmation of men? Are you willing to remember Me still, whether the season be good or bad?

Are you willing to be among the ‘very few’—those who do not merely ‘use’ Me, but truly follow Me, serve Me, and serve others? You know I am waiting for such a person. Are you that person? If you hear My call to your soul, come before Me.

My child, if you live in My light, you will see all that you have in this world through the eyes of eternity, and you will walk in the direction of eternity. Arise, take up your cross, stop clinging to this world, and lay down your self. Your perspective shall be transformed; in the Cross, you will see glory and you will see Me. You will find comfort and heavenly peace. Truly take up the cross and follow Me in this world; time is short. Return to the right track; walk this way I have prepared for you. I am watching you from the Throne. When you stand before My Throne one day, you shall rejoice for having chosen this way, and you shall understand that it was all well worth it.”

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

— Hebrews 12:2

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!

— Philippians 2:6-8

“What do you want me to do for you?” he asked. They replied, “Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory.” “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” “We can,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”
