The Trees Speak

A couple nights ago I had an odd experience. We had been having a real heat wave for the first time this year, after a very wet and cool spring. Sitting on our patio around 7:30 pm on a completely still evening, suddenly we heard this large cracking sound. We got up and went to look at the front of our house and our huge Manitoba maple, or box elder tree, had one of its large branches just completely break away all by itself and come crashing to the ground! No storm, no wind, utterly still conditions, and this huge branch just decided to fall off, narrowly missing the outer part of our house! The trunk itself was about one foot in diameter at its largest point. In addition, a couple other smaller branches also decided to come crashing down. Note that the trunk, branches and leaves all looked very healthy, there was no sign of disease, rot, or anything amiss. For all intents and purposes, a perfectly healthy tree just decided to lose one of its larger branches for absolutely no reason that I could see!

Now I don’t know about you, but of course the first thought was that this was some sort of supernatural event, and that this must be a sign of something or other. I resolved to ask the Lord about it next day in my prayer time (after we had cleaned it up).

As I began my prayer time, I also went and researched a bit about this tree. Turns out that this particular type of tree likes to retain as much water as it can. Since we’ve had an unusual amount of rainfall this year, completely reversing the drought like conditions of the previous few years, this tree would of soaked up much more moisture than usual.

Because of this water retention, this tree is also known for occasionally just toppling over! The weight of the water in its branches burdens it and suddenly, it may just snap off a branch of two. The tree also has an average life span of around 60 years, and I think this tree was approaching that age as well.

Now why have I gone through all this trouble in giving this horticultural lesson? I believe that God wants me to share some spiritual lessons here, but not the ones that initially came into my mind.

When this bizarre incident occurred, neither my wife nor I had ever experienced a tree simply falling over for no apparent reason in our entire lives. Being a good charismatic, the first thought we had was that God had sent an angel to strike the tree down in order to give us a prophetic picture of some sudden judgment on something! Now it was simply a matter of getting in our prayer closet and seeing what came to mind, so that I could share the warning to all!

Instead, my initial reaction was used of God to remind me of how certain people in the body of Christ base their spiritual lives. They want so badly for God to speak to them, that they resort to all sorts of superstition, such as numerology, or seeing a sign in every unusual occurrence, to try and make sense of their confusing situations. Instead of simply waiting on the Lord, being content with whatever answers he does or does not give, they must come up with an explanation for everything that occurs in their lives. They simply cannot accept the fact that there may be bad things that enter your life, in which God does not owe you an explanation as to why. He simply is watching you to see how you react. Will your attitude of submission and acceptance please him, or will you refuse to accept what is, and run to whatever it is you run to, in order to try and find meaning, whether or not there is any truth there to be found?

Because I went and did my research, I found out that no, this was not some supernatural event. This kind of tree can simply fall over. So, the first thing I learned is that we need to act like adults. Don’t assume that because something unusual occurred, that God is automatically speaking. Stop, think, pray, and do your homework. In my case, the event was not supernatural, but the timing of it may of been, as I think God wants me to share some other truths based on what occurred.

I know of someone who sees God speaking in every number they see. Something bad or stressful occurs, and immediately they note the time, or an address, or something else with a number in it, and immediately they are searching in their bibles for a verse number that they can try to derive some applicability to their situation.

From their point of view, they think God is speaking. As an outside observer, most times I simply feel embarrassed for them, as what they claim has no real relevance to their circumstance whatsoever. In fact, this is simply superstition. Sort of like someone randomly opening their bibles and reading the first verse they lay their eyes on. Stories are shared of how sometimes this seems to work, but I wonder how many stories should be shared where there was no, or contrary, meaning found via that superstitious road.

Exactly how is this different from the Catholic turning to their rosary in times of stress, or the word of faith adherent repeating ‘by his stripes I am healed’ hundreds of times when they feel sickness coming on, like some Buddhist monk endlessly repeating his mantra? Why do we as a body allow ourselves to fall into such foolishness?

These are not bad people. They are sincerely wanting to hear from God. Yet in our goodly desire, we simply cannot accept the fact that God has not chosen to allow us to hear him the way some others do. For most, he speaks to us through his word (in regular devotion, not via one random verse), and through the teachers he has set in the body. Are we mature enough to accept the gifts we have, and especially accepting of the gifts we do not have, and not resort to superstitious practices in order to fake some thing that has no validity? Satan is more than happy to accommodate us should we decide that what we have been given is not enough. Did not Eve fall when she was told she could become like God himself, to know good and evil? Did she not show that even in a heart not tainted with sin as of yet, the desire to have more than what God gives us is always there. How much more so in fallen mankind!

In any event, I digress somewhat. There are some lessons to be reminded of as we examine the tree. First, to the church. From the many branches that fell, there were a few that were entirely dead, but most still looked alive and healthy. At least on the outside. Yet the weight of what was within finally caused them to snap, and perish. Here is a parallel for the church in the west. Of course there are a few churches out there that we have no need of discernment in knowing that they are apostate. However how many more seemingly are alive and well on the outside, yet that inner, hidden weight of sin and compromise is weighing them down? What is hidden inside you? What is weighing you down? Outwardly, you look healthy. Inwardly, is your burden reaching the breaking point?

So many churches are on the verge of being broken off, even as Jesus spoke of in John:

Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Joh 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

How many warnings did Jesus give us of the suddenness of judgment?

Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Mar 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Mar 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mar 13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
Mar 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Mat 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
Mat 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Mat 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
Mat 24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
Mat 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
Mat 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
Mat 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luk 12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Luk 12:36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
Luk 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Luk 12:38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
Luk 12:39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
Luk 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Luk 12:56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

Like my tree, suddenly and without warning, in a moment of peace and tranquility, a large bracnch suddenly snapped off, to be picked up and thrown in the fire. So shall the backsliding and apostate church be judged, sentenced, and the punishment carried out.

Everyone out there, individually and corporately, do not be deceived. Deep down you all know that our time in the west is very short. Our nations are ready to fall. They have gone well past the point of no return. Just because you haven’t been locked down for a couple years now, or perhaps the migrant invasion has not yet reached your particular community, do not lie to yourself. Suddenly, very suddenly, those not found in Him will be broken off, gathered, and cast into the fire.

I believe God had me wait an extra day before writing this because today’s daily bible reading was in the book of Daniel. This portion of scripture popped out for me:

Dan 4:10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
Dan 4:11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:
Dan 4:12 The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it.
Dan 4:13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;
Dan 4:14 He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:
Dan 4:15 Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth:
Dan 4:16 Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.
Dan 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

America, you were that tree. You had once honored God, and God had honored you. You became great, you were a shelter for the weak and the oppressed. You once had the rule of law that protected all. Many came for shelter and protection under your shade.

Your foliage was fair and your branches were fruitful.

Nevertheless you did not retain my word in your hearts. You became arrogant and greedy. The divine council was summoned. The accuser of the brethren was present. His accusations and condemnations could no longer be denied.

I gave you space to repent. I sent many of my servants over the years to plead with you to turn from your wicked ways. Yet you would not hear.

In Nebuchadnezzar’s case, the watchers and the holy ones decided to leave a stump in the field, according to my will. It was not yet time for his full end. He would experience seven years of madness, then I would return and restore him.

Do not think that is the case today. You, America, are not some foolish pagan that had never heard of the most high. You will not receive the same mercy. Yes, madness has descended on your land. Insanity now rules, not the ten commandments. You had many warnings, many judgments, yet you would not hear. You mocked and condemned my true prophets that told you that God had sent these things upon you. But no, you had built a golden calf of Yahweh in your hearts and in your churches. You said that God never judges. That he never hurts, nor punishes. No matter your behavior, you were now exempt from all consequences, because of the cross.

Yet read now verse 17. This verse is for you. You have forgotten who truly rules in your land. It is not you, it is not Trump, it is not your militias, your constitution, nor your churches. None of these can save you. I have opened your borders to the enemy. Not the Democrats. Not Biden. Not Obama. Not the cabal or the new world order. It is I, and I alone. I have set over you the basest of men.

You have been stripped of all leadership. I, and I alone, decide who rules and who does not.

When, oh when, will you finally come to your senses and embrace the one truth that you must embrace before I can even begin to hear your cries? When will you finally stop frantically looking for some sort of solution to your already dead land, apart from me? Do you not see now that in the natural, there is no hope? That you are already lost?

When will the mighty men finally fall on their face, like Nebuchadnezzar of old, and truly repent?

Dan 4:34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:
Dan 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Then, and only then, will divine understanding as to what you should do, be given unto you.

Even as I rule in heaven, so I rule on earth. Do you think the so called cabal has any real power? Do you think the fallen ones are any match for me? If I rule over these once powerful spirits as I will, do you think that man, limited as he is on earth, can stay my hand?

If you truly repent, sound reasoning shall be given unto you. You shall begin to see my ways. And what are my ways? Look once more to Nebuchadnezzar and see what he says:

Dan 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways (well trodden road) judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

So the conclusion of the matter is that my ways are judgment. Not love. Not mercy. Not patience, mercy, compassion, or even grace. They way I operate is in judgment. If you wish to make sense of what is occurring all around you, in this the final chapter of man, then do not look down any other road. The well trodden road has always been judgment. That is, my righteous decrees and decisions concerning the behaviors of mankind.

Can you have love, grace, and mercy, without the punishment of sin? Do you not see that most have refused the offer of my grace? For 2000 years I have stretched out my hand in mercy and forgiveness, freely offering redemption by my son’s precious blood. And so many refused. And now, the world refuses.

So be it. Madness has been decreed, and madness is upon you. With repentance, you have a chance of escape. Without repentance, you will be broken and taken away, never to return. Be like Nebuchadnezzar of old, and humble yourself. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord.

Zep 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.

Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
