THE MYSTERY OF POPCORN

5/14/2022 (word) I heard “THE MYSTERY OF POPCORN”.

8/4/2022 (vision) I saw several unpopped popcorn kernels in the bottom of a popcorn popper.

10/6/2021 (vision) First I saw the word “MOVIE”. Then I saw the word “WASHERS”. End of words.
At the time that I received the “WASHERS” word, I was systematically working my way through every movie ever made by one of my favorite actresses, Bette Davis. I had pretty much watched all of them except for “The Corn is Green” (1945).

In that movie, Bette played the part of a spinster, who inherited an estate in Wales. One day as she walked in her garden, the sound of exquisite singing captured her attention. The singers turned out to be some local children, who were on their way home from a long day at work in the coal mines. Many of them were forced to leave school to go work in the coal mines in order to put food on the table. After learning of their plight, she decided to open a school for them.

Here is where things get interesting. When the children showed up for their first day of school, they were covered in soot and grime from head to toe. So, she told them to go to the front yard and bathe in a water trough. The next scene showed them washing all that filth off in the water trough and emerging squeaky clean.

Well, I just knew that Lord was speaking when I saw those boys getting washed in the water. You see, He has given me many words on the subject of “LIVING WATER” and “getting washed in water”.

9/23/2021 (word) I saw a page in a book. It said, “I AM LIVING WATER”.

1/26/2019 (Word) First I heard “READ AND REVEAL MY HOLY WORD.” Then I saw streams of living water poured on people’s faces.

10/2/2021 (vision) I saw a naked man getting washed in the shower.

5/22/2020 (word) I heard “THE DRY PLACES ARE FILLED WITH WATER”.

10/2/2019 (vision) I saw my kitties getting bathed in “special water”.

2/21/2022 (vision) I saw a cat drenched in water crawling out of the bathtub.

3/19/2022 (vision) I saw dirt on the bottom of the bathtub like it had been washed off by someone.

7/2/2022 (vision) I saw 2 beagle dogs in a tub taking a bath.

7/17/2021 (vision) I saw a man run and jump into a river to be washed.

7/4/2022 (word) I heard “DIVE INTO THE WATER”.

7/15/2021 (vision) I saw a person in a laundromat ask for some “WHITE”.

8/17/2022 (vision) I saw many laundry carts loaded with bags of dirty laundry lined up at the laundromat ready to be washed.

4/2/2021 (word) I heard “DEARTH OF THE WORD OF GOD”.

3/30/2022 (vision) I saw a well in the front yard.
Now one of my favorite things besides an old classic movie is a tub of popcorn to accompany the movie. There’s just nothing better than freshly popped organic popcorn drizzled in butter. So, when I heard “THE MYSTERY OF POPCORN”, well I was simply intrigued.

So why does popcorn pop? Well, apparently each popcorn kernel contains a small amount of water stored in some starch inside the hard outer casing. When heated, the moisture in the kernel turns to steam. Eventually the increasing pressure from the steam causes the kernel to explode and turn inside out. Viola! Fluffy, delectable popcorn is the result.
Now here is the fascinating part. It turns out that a hard kernel of popcorn can only pop if it contains sufficient water – around 14%. Any less and the kernel just won’t pop. That’s why you often see some unpopped kernels left over in a batch. There was NOT ENOUGH WATER TO TRANSFORM.

WHOA! That blew my mind!

Why? Well, just as the popcorn kernel requires a certain threshold of water in order to pop, we too require a certain threshold of “LIVING WATER”, that is, the WORD OF GOD to be transformed and renewed. Does it not say in Romans 12, “be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”?

And just how does this renewal take place?

Well, in Ephesians 5 is says that we are “sanctified and cleansed by the washing of the water of the Word”. That means we are to immerse ourselves in the Word: read it, listen to it, speak it, decree it, and meditate on it. That is how we are transformed, renewed, purified, and made holy.

That’s right, we are made holy through the Word. It says in John 17:17 “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth.” Sanctify means to make holy or purify. So, we are made holy and purified through the WORD OF GOD. That is why it is so important to be in the Word daily.

You know, I know some who claim to be Christians, yet they never open their bibles. In John 1:1 it says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Therefore, the Word is God. So, it makes me wonder just how can anyone really know Jesus if they never ever open and read His Word?

SCRIPTURES

JEREMIAH 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed themselves out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

ROMANS 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2AND BE NOT CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD: BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

JOHN 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: 14But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

JOHN 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. 39(But this spoke he of the Spirit, whom they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

1 JOHN 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

JOHN 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came from God, and went to God; 4He rose from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. 5After that he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. 6Then came he to Simon Peter: and Peter said unto him, Lord, do you wash my feet? 7Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do you know not now; but you shall know hereafter. 8Peter said unto him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash you not, you have no part with me.

EPHESIANS 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

JOSHUA 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

JOHN 17:17 Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.

JOHN 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
