Why do you only turn to me with your whole heart when I send a specific calamity? Why does it take a tangible, physical loss before most pause and consider their ways? Should I allow my anger to take its full course every time my people sin? Should I manifest my holy displeasure each time my people disobey?

Have I not left enough examples in my word about how I feel when my people turn their back on me? If my people ignore my commandments, are there not enough examples of what happened to my people Israel? Did I not leave you with enough witnesses in history so that you would properly fear me?

What is the pattern that I see over and over? As long as man has enough bread and enough wealth to amuse themselves, they pay little or no attention to the state of their souls. This is why my prophets are so hated. When my servants prophesied judgment on my people in Samaria, and then again in Judah, how were they received? Leave us alone, they said. Can’t you see times are good? Have we not bread, and more besides? Can you not see that life is good? Who are you to try and make us feel guilty? Don’t you understand that the Lord is pleased with us, else how do you explain our prosperity?

So it is today. Go away, man of woe. Leave us be, harbinger of doom. Can you not see that the stock market has reached an all time high? Don’t you understand that certain places have had bumper crops? Haven’t you heard that America is being made great again? Can’t you see that God is pleased with us? We have money for more and more vacations, newer and newer toys, and our gold and our silver has made us rich!

Foolish children. Thinking worldly wealth, believing that apparent peace and safety are the signs of my approval. Yet, what does my word say? In the days of Noah, it was business as usual. In the days of Noah, to most, all appeared well. Buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage, the world’s system of commerce was in full swing.

But then suddenly, it stopped. Suddenly, it changed. My testimony of judgment was being built for many years, for all to see. While Noah built, they laughed. While Noah built, they mocked. While he obeyed, they all disobeyed, and went their own way.

So go ahead and rejoice. Rejoice that your stock market is doing well. Rejoice that I’ve given you a leader that is trying to fix your woes. Rejoice that in your wisdom, you bought gold and silver, and now you think you are safe.

Rejoice, and continue to ignore the state of your soul. Rejoice, and continue to refuse to truly repent. Where do you think that will lead to? Shall it profit you in the end?

Rather than focusing on those who predict, how about focusing on me? Rather than chasing the latest spiritual fad, how about shutting the door, and seeing my face, and allowing me to break up your fallow ground? Why not present your hardened heart, which has become dull of hearing, on my altar, where the hammer of my word shall smash it, so that my Spirit can flow through you once again?

My people, do not be deceived by what you see. Stop seeking after worldly signs. Often I choose to allow the rebellious to be blinded by their wealth, lest they see the state of their wicked souls, and find a way to escape the wrath to come.

Flee those wicked ones who preach that godliness is gain. Run from those who think that much gold means much heavenly approval. Look to your souls. Look deep within. What do you see? A heart that is devoted to me? Or a heart that is filled with the cares of this life? Or maybe a heart that is filled with fear. A worldly fear of personal loss, and not a healthy fear of the Lord.

There is an increasing level of spiritual blindness in the land. The lukewarm shall not be able to stand. The double hearted shall be given over to their sin. The uncommitted shall fall away. The casual Christian shall fall into delusion.

Only true repentance can save you. Repent of your indecision. Repent of those sins that you have refused to completely put away. Repent of those things that you continue to toy with in your evil imaginations. Repent of keeping one foot in this world. Repent of not heeding my warnings. Repent of looking after false signs.

For those who take this word to heart, I will keep you and preserve you. In exchange for your gold, you shall be given the true treasures of heaven. Revelation, intimacy, peace, and assurance shall be yours. The master’s voice shall be heard. No man shall take away your peace. Repent, for I am coming quickly. Some of you are destined to come home soon. Make yourself ready, and you shall never be ashamed. Make yourself ready, and fear shall not have a place in your heart ever again.
