The Great Earthquake (as Seen from Western North Carolina)

In a dream vision, the Holy Spirit showed me the effects of a great American earthquake on the southeastern Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina. The great earthquake affected much of the United States, but the Holy Spirit only showed me scenes in the mountainous region so damaged last year by Hurricane Helene. Many of the people in this region are God-fearing disciples of Christ and He would warn them to protect them and help them prepare.
The dream vision began only after the worst of the shaking and aftershocks had stopped. In the first scene, I saw a tree toppled on an SUV. Then just beyond the vehicle, I saw how a small landslide had come down a ridge, breaking and twisting a fence and covering a driveway. A giant boulder, the size of a car, had slid down and come to rest on the driveway.
Within a short period of time, for some reason not revealed to me, small bits of debris rained down from the sky. Some burning pieces set fires when they landed. Seeing this, people ran to stomp on them and put out the small fires before they could grow.
In another scene, I saw how the shaking had been so strong that some cars on the roads had flipped over and slid down into ravines. Several roads were now broken up, covered in rockslide debris, and too dangerous for any vehicle.
Then I saw people, mostly older women, joining together in structures that were still standing, trying to scrape an existence from the little food available to be found. I saw a vegetable garden with rows of cabbage, and how valuable a simple cabbage—which could be stored without refrigeration underground—suddenly had become. With cars damaged and many roads impassable, so many people could not get to a grocery store, if there was any food left to be had. Too many people were stuck with only the little food they had in their homes before the quake struck. Very soon the able-bodied men and even younger women were gone, called up to some kind of national or military service.
Certain mountain areas were trapped and inaccessible. In time, I saw some short men, who appeared to be foreigners and spoke mostly Spanish, entering these hard-to-reach areas using mules. But the men on the mules did not always come to help. Some came to check out the lay of the land and to steal.
Then the vision ended. The Holy Spirit told me, “Warn the people of the Great Earthquake to come.”
He reminds us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
