King David slew the Nephilim named Goliath with a sling and just one of his five smooth stones. Those five stones pointed toward the modern-day fivefold ministry. Five ministries (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher) working together in harmony to accomplish the Father’s will on the earth. Each minister deferring to the others and giving all glory and honor to the Lamb and the One who sits on the throne.
Speak God’s pure Word with courage, boldness, and faith. Preach the complete, unadulterated Gospel in obedience to the Father. Watch as His Holy Spirit releases signs, wonders, miracles, and mighty works to confirm His Word. Stand in faith, as His holy angels perform their work.
My first lesson in spiritual warfare was learning how to seal my apartment. In 1995, I visited Spain and Portugal on vacation. On the very first night in my hotel room in Madrid, I was attacked by a fallen spirit in the middle of the night. It entered my room and tried to kill me. Later, I met a Christian family from Singapore who were also on the tour. They secretly confided in me that the Lord had woken them up in the middle of the night in order to intercede for me.
Later in the tour we visited the city of Granada. I decided not to visit The Alhambra as the Holy Spirit warned me not to go there. I spent the day exploring the city on foot. I discovered a small mosque that was located on the first floor of a commercial shopping center. The door was open so I looked inside. Part of my right leg crossed over the “boundary line” of the mosque. The room was empty, but I felt a sharp pain in my leg, as a fallen spirit was trying to prevent me from going any further. I decided not to enter the mosque.
After returning to America, I discovered the ministry of Rev. Dr. Rebecca Brown-Yoder and Rev. Evangelist Daniel Yoder of Harvest Warriors (Harvestwarriors.com). Dr. Brown’s book Protecting your Fortress taught me how to seal my apartment and motel room when on the road.
In the early 2000’s my wife and I visited Lake Tahoe. I forgot to seal the room and was attacked in the middle of the night by a wicked spirit. It was more powerful than a demon. I’m not sure if it was a principality, power, throne, or dominion. It manifested in the form of a dog monster and made a lot of horrible noises before it left the room.
My wife and I visited Scotland in 2004. We stayed in an older motel in Glasgow that was being remodeled. Unfortunately, I again forgot to seal the room. I woke up around midnight. A thick, snake-like cord was traveling around our room inspecting us and our belongings. At the end of the cord was a shining, bright single eye. I heard noises outside, so I opened the door and found five people chanting an incantation over us. They fled after I opened the door.
Due to an accident when I was a child, I have suffered from tinnitus for most of my life. A few years ago, I heard a radio ad about a ministry that was operating in miracles and healings. I traveled to Southern California to attend the meeting and was hopeful that I would be healed.
A young lady came forward to receive prayer from a minister from Australia. This man began tapping the back of her neck with his fingers. I watched in horror as this precious woman fell on the hard cement floor without a catcher. Later, I learned through studying Rev. Andrew Strom’s book Kundalini Warning,
that she had received a Kundalini spirit from the minister. This spirit mimics the Holy Spirit and wraps itself around the spine. Please be very careful about who you submit to in prayer Saints.
Every morning, I ask the Father to cover me with His complete armor in Jesus’ name. (Ephesians 6) I learned this through reading Rev. Dr. Rebecca Brown-Yoder’s book Becoming a Vessel of Honor.
Every morning I bind and cancel all of the assignments of Satan and his kingdom against my family and me in an audible message to the Enemy in Jesus’ name.
Music is an important issue to consider when engaging in spiritual warfare. The Holy Spirit led me to give up many of my CD’s after I became born-again. He showed me that certain music is designed by Satan to open up a pathway for demons to torment and curse Believers. Ask the Father to show you if there is anything in your music collection that you need to relinquish. Also ask Him if there are any familiar objects in your possession that you need to destroy. Familiar objects give Satan the legal right to enter your home and work against you.
Terry MacAlmon’s excellent CD: “The Sound of Heaven”
carries the Holy Spirit’s breaker anointing. It is a powerful weapon to use in spiritual warfare.
The Hyper-Grace Teachers will tell you that all you need to do to be saved is repeat a simple prayer and ask Jesus to be your “personal savior.” When you make Him just your personal savior, you are not granting Him the right to be your Lord. If He is not your Lord, His Holy Spirit cannot take you through the life-long process of cleansing or sanctification. Without sanctification, you cannot have “clean hands and a pure heart.” Therefore, you cannot engage in spiritual warfare.
That is the reason why so many Believers will give up their faith in the days ahead during the “great falling away.” That is the reason why so many Believers will take the “mark of the Beast” shortly after it is introduced. That is the reason why so many Believers will not “endure to the end” after they miss the Rapture.
How many Hyper-Grace Teachers will challenge you to read Foxe’s Book of Martyrs
before coming forward in an altar call? How many Hyper-Grace Teachers will advise you to read A Divine Revelation of Hell by Rev. Mary K. Baxter
before making Jesus your personal savior? Has anyone ever told you to count the cost and make Jesus your Lord, in order to begin the long, difficult road leading to salvation?
Even Marilyn Manson in his song “Personal Jesus” mocks the foolishness of making Jesus your personal savior without making him your Lord.
Over and over, Satan baits Believers into friendly fire battles over the timing of the Rapture, the gift of tongues, and “King James Only” idolatry. These are non-salvation issues. Few discern that the Enemy is using these controversies to stir up strife, offense, and stumbling. Even fewer understand that his goal is to keep you so completely occupied in these fights that you fail to complete what is written in your book in Heaven. Saints of the God of Israel: Repent and understand the lateness of the hour. You do not have any time left to indulge in these skirmishes!
"Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." (Hebrews 12: 14) "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I say?" (Luke 6: 46)
My spiritual father and mentor, David, helped me to learn some spiritual warfare basics after I first became born-again. The Holy Spirit showed him that the Father uses Satan and his kingdom to accomplish His will. The Spirit also showed him that we are to give Satan the same respect that God the Father gives him. I had asked David about the people who brag about “kicking some devil butt!”

Rev. Mary K. Baxter opens up a prophetic window for us to learn what we will soon be facing from the Enemy. All of her books are very important and should be required reading for all Believers.
The books authored by Rev. Dr. Rebecca Brown-Yoder, Rev. Evangelist Daniel Yoder, Rev. Mary K. Baxter and Rev. Andrew Strom have been a tremendous help to me in learning about spiritual warfare.
