What are you doing in your church Lord?
“I am purifying my Church like a Silversmith refines silver. I will scrape off the dross so that she can reflect my likeness with brilliant clarity. But first must come the heat. I am turning up the temperature so that the impurities will rise to the surface. Those who are willing to repent and work with me will shine like stars. Those who are unwilling to deal with the muck I reveal will only yield a dull reflection.
I want my children to learn to walk in my peace even in the midst of trouble. A peace that is rooted in faith and not sight. Faith in the Father’s Love for you. The Devil wants you to believe that I can’t be trusted to come through for you. He says, “Perhaps this misfortune is one of His trials. He has abandoned you to see if you will still trust him even when He lets you down. You know, Job style.”
But I never abandoned Job and I won’t abandon you. If you go through a trial, it won’t be on your own. I will be right there beside you, only a prayer away. I will not let you down. Don’t fight me now, I am working for your good so that you can reflect my glory. Trust me, I will not abandon you. I will be with you in the trial. Together we will come out on top. You will see.”
Scripture References:
Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip. For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. (Psa 66:8-10)
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
(2Co 3:18)
And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
(Dan 12:3)
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
(1Pe 5:6-10)
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
(1Pe 4:12-13)
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
(Rom 8:18)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Rom 8:35-39)
