SERVING YAHWEH BOLDLY

There has been an urge from Yah to share on this topic. A lot has been happening in the Body of Christ, especially in the season we find ourselves in. Why is it that in our times, if Yah speaks to a beloved saint to do a certain task for Him—a call of some sort—you often find apathy on that person’s part?

In the past, I have heard of people saying they have seen themselves serving Yah in visions and dreams. But then they say they are not ready or don’t feel like that is what they are supposed to do. Now, don’t you see a contradiction in that narrative? A call has been made by the Master, but it’s not being answered.

Does this not fit the verse that says, “Many are called, but few are chosen”? Is not seeking first the Kingdom of God beneficial, not based on things that can be seen? In our times, serving God has been equated with poverty and lack. Haven’t you heard the statement, “I cannot leave what I do (the work) for the unknown”?

When Yeshua called His twelve disciples from various disciplines like fishing and tax collection, didn’t He have a plan to sustain them? Was there complaining and murmuring? Absolutely not. The Lord took care of them. He fed five thousand men with five loaves and two fishes, and everyone was full—with twelve basketfuls of leftovers running over!

SERVING WHEN IT’S CONVENIENT

Recently, I was feeding my nephew his supper. He was eating very slowly, and the task was not easy. It was just a regular meal, and I wondered—if it were fast food (chips, bhajias, sausages, etc.), it would have been eaten without assistance. Of course, most kids behave in like manner.

Let’s draw a parallel here. Do we serve Yah only when it is convenient to do so? Aren’t we told to preach the Word in season and out of season? That’s why you see the messengers giving their messages throughout the year, by God’s grace, as long as there is a word to be given.

Last year, I was silenced for four months, but that did not mean my assignment was over. A time is coming when it will be, and I already know this beforehand through His grace. In fact, I thank Him in advance for all the messages He has given me right from the beginning. All glory belongs to Him, 100%.

I must also state that of late, I have been wondering how our brother Jonathan has been doing this work without a break for so long. This is not an easy task, considering the pressures of modern life. You can imagine if it were you doing this ministry—would you be consistent? I even thought Brother Jonathan might take breaks on Sundays (just an afterthought). After all, I know two pastors who are currently on leave until December.

But Yah doesn’t go on leave. He is ever working while it is still day, for the night is coming when no one can work. That should be our example to emulate.

THE VALUE OF MENTORSHIP

When I finished high school, I worked with a very friendly pastor while waiting to go to college. I cut my spiritual niche through associating with him. He became my mentor, and Jerry Savelle taught this concept plainly:

“There is an anointing that comes through association.”

You become like your mentor to a certain extent.

I remember one day we went for a mission with him and other young people. We were heavily involved in the program. At times, he would take a back seat and let us conduct the rest of the service. I think this exposed us very early to the nitty-gritty of ministry work.

We were in a tea-growing town renowned for its tea exports. I remember eating at the same table with the senior pastor and other guests. There was no discrimination of any sort. I would go on errands with my pastor, and he was a fan of John Osteen—Joel Osteen’s father. We would listen to John teaching about prayer while driving around.

Most of his sermons were about prayer. You would hear him say:
“Are you depressed? Pray.
Are you in lack? Pray.
Are you sick? Pray.
Do you feel like giving up? Pray.
Pray when you feel like not praying.
Pray when it is inconvenient.
Pray, pray, pray—even if it doesn’t make sense to do so.”

He instilled in the Body of Christ the virtue of prayer at all times. There is no ministry that can flourish without prayer.

LESSONS FROM EXPERIENCE

One time he was to travel to Jakarta, Indonesia, and requested that I accompany him to the airport. We lived very far from Nairobi, so we traveled by bus overnight. He told me who had invited him and how they met in San Diego, California, at a School of Ministry (MCSWE) years earlier.

When we arrived, he checked in, and I went up to the waving bay area. This was before 9/11, when aviation laws changed overnight. I said to myself, “One day I will also fly like the pastor.” This came to pass ten years later.

This doesn’t align with the instant prophecy fulfillment associated with our generation. Waiting has become synonymous with delay—but is it really?

When he came back after a month, he had put on weight. I asked him what his diet was like. He replied, “Frogs are a delicacy in that region.” We both burst into laughter.

We should enjoy what we are doing for Yah. Serving Yah is not boring or a dull routine forced upon us. It’s done voluntarily and with willingness.

IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE

The other day, I watched two short movie clips—ten minutes each. (I’m not a movie person; it’s been a long time since I watched one.) The scene was set in wartime Vietnam. Chuck Norris was tasked with rescuing hostages and had to battle skilled fighters in taekwondo, karate, and kickboxing.

In one scene, he was pinned down, and the enemy held a knife to his face, saying, “I’m going to teach you a lesson your mama never gave you.” But as the man moved in, Chuck caught the knife midair, rose with strength, and said boldly, “It’s my time to teach.”

Lesson number one: he gave the man what was due to him.
Lesson number two: he sent him crashing to the floor, never to stand again.

The parallel is this: at times, it may seem the devil is winning this war. But given the rhema word spoken on Sunday—it’s our time to shine. The tide will turn, and the devil will not be able to do anything about it!

At another point, Chuck ran through a dense forest while a helicopter pursued him, firing missiles. He picked up a stone and threw it, hitting the helicopter window and the pilot. The helicopter spun down in flames, and the tide of war favored him.

The parallel? Didn’t David bring down Goliath with a sling and a stone? He wasn’t even comfortable in armor or with sophisticated weapons!

Our armor is well described in Ephesians 6:10–20. So why are we afraid to serve Him boldly? The enemy’s camp will never match God’s camp—never.

THE LION OF JUDAH WILL ROAR

On the morning of November 11, 2025, as I went for a walk, I heard:
“The Lion of Judah will roar loudly, not in the distant future.”

A battle cry?

When a lion roars in the jungle, nearby animals flee from the king of the jungle. Yeshua is coming as King—not as a child born in a manger. Joseph and Mary had to hide Him in Egypt, but there will be no hiding this time. He will manifest openly in power and glory before all humanity when He splits the Eastern sky.

All activity on earth will cease that day. The entire earth will grow dark. Lightning and thunder—unlike any ever seen or heard—will fill the heavens. The proud, the wicked, mockers, scoffers, and atheists of our day will tremble, not knowing what is happening to the earth.

Even at the end of the Great Tribulation, the survivors will not comprehend what is about to unfold. Something immense is hovering in the atmosphere—about to explode in glory.

The fighting armies will be crushed in the Valley of Megiddo by fire from His mouth. The Antichrist and the False Prophet will be captured and thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone.

In the past, the Lord showed me the Antichrist being thrown into the fire, and I saw him wailing. It makes me sorrowful to say this, since we know who this man is. Will you enjoy seeing a family member or close friend burning in the lake of fire for eternity?

You see, there is no option but to go out and serve Yah boldly when the call comes. If you don’t care about souls, then you might as well recline and relax during that period. Yah never forces your free will—think about that.

SCRIPTURE READING

Deuteronomy 20:1–4

  1. When you go out to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
  2. And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people.
  3. And shall say to them, “Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them.”
  4. For the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.

Remember the song “Victory Belongs to Jesus” by Todd Dulaney?
