Repentance:
When one says, “I am sorry, I turn away from my evil,” without weeping— is that not good enough? Zacchaeus simply confessed what he needed to do, promising to pay fourfold to those he had stolen from. Jesus said, “Salvation has come to this house today.” Zacchaeus did not wail, weep, or cry to attract attention. The Master had come to his house for dinner. What a privilege!

I believe the Lord can touch a person to weep— it has happened to many, and it has happened to me. The problem is this: we have begun replacing Bible-based teachings with human theology. If you are preaching to 5,000 people and 1,000 openly confess Yeshua as Savior and Lord, is that not a great catch for the Man from Galilee? Should they go back home the same way they came?

The problem in the Body is that we have started placing boundaries on how things should happen. What if the Ruach wanted to save all of them? Would you rejoice or be sad? Do you want only a few folks to ascend to heaven while you have secured your own eternal ticket? Should no one accompany you to the land up yonder? You become “self-contained.”

When corporate organizations worldwide invest heavily in corporate social responsibility, it is only the Church that seems content with the status quo. That “one more soul” and “one more mission” no longer seem to matter. When I began going out for missions in my early years, it was our joy to witness conversions— no matter the number. We knew it was the sovereign act and grace of Yah alone. The move of the Spirit was not enclosed or restricted. The manifestation was open for all to see.

One time a man attended a certain church. He said they believed that for you to pray effectively, you had to cry and weep. Failure to do so made you seem odd in that ritual. When Yah prompts you to weep, then it is fine and acceptable. Paul said he prayed “in tears for you.”

As a new believer, I was once praying for a sick elderly man. He did not know I was interceding. My emotions took over, and I wept because of his suffering. Later he passed on. That was the first and last time I wept like that. Some weep, wail, and cry out of emotion, not from the prompting of Yah.

What if this were to happen simultaneously across different world time zones— every non-believer throughout the world praying the sinner’s prayer, accepting, believing, and confessing the lordship of Yeshua? Heaven’s records would be updated instantly, and Yeshua would say to the Father, “I am going to fetch my entire Bride.” Would you sulk and say, “But nobody cried, so they are not all saved”? Does faith cry— or does faith receive?

Repentance opens the door to God’s grace in our lives. It leads us to turn away from sin and from a worldly lifestyle. How was your own initial experience? Repentance is continual until we leave this earth through death or the Rapture. No one is righteous— not even one.

That is why I am meeting a sinner this weekend for a small talk. I called him, and he told me to schedule a date. Already his heart is submissive— I could tell from the phone conversation. I did not respond with criticism or say, “You drunkard!” The devil has blinded many by pushing them into human judgment. What if heaven’s court overturns your judgment in a split second? Who will be the fool then?

How is it that he remembered me so well after nearly four months, and we had met only once?

A second time, I was moved to pray for another elderly person in 2020. I knew this family well. The lady had about six diseases. I anointed her with oil as Apostle James taught. A year later, in a vision, I saw her family members crying. I knew what that meant— it was close. One night, while praying with a colleague, I pleaded with the Lord to extend her life like Hezekiah. I prayed with determination. Eventually she passed on this year in May. Glory to Yah for what He did.

Salvation and repentance must follow the biblical path. If we insist on doing things our own way, we may end up becoming a cult. Jesus had no preconditions. Did He not say, “O woman, great is your faith!” (Matt. 15:28) and “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matt. 14:31)

Are we not justified by faith, and is not day-to-day repentance essential for entering heaven? What more is “good enough”?

When the Holy Ghost breaks loose on this planet, all man-made doctrines will take a back seat or become irrelevant. If Yah Himself says He is going to do it big, why do you want to retreat and make it small? Is “small” better than “big”? While the world talks about building great things, we consider “big” as pride. If “big” is pride and pride leads to hell, then I am a culprit heading straight to the dungeon— because I am waiting for something big from God. He said it in a vision; I did not force Him to. I am not going to apologize or even repent for that. If it annoys you, direct your anger to God. I am simply saying what He told me.

I always say: preaching to sinners is easier than teaching believers who already “know.” Excuse me for that. Bear with me. I will not repeat this assignment again; it ends in this segment. If this is pride for obeying what I am told to write, then so be it. It carries big rewards in heaven— far greater than the pride of serving Satan, which leads to hell. If this is boasting, remember Paul said he would rather boast in Christ. Is there any value in boasting for the devil?

Concluding Remark

Serve Yah through His guidance. Do not aim to please man— man can never be fully pleased.

There is nothing wrong with reaching a small group or a large group. All is for His glory. We have different visions and different assignments that will unfold. We are not the same in our capacities. Personally, I love doing the “Nicodemus ministry,” but I am always flexible. I am not the choosy type. The Great Harvest is coming— and it will be big. That is why it is called Great.

I was humbled to hear a non-believer tell me last night over the phone: “Sam, please forgive me. I know I have hurt you. It was not my wish, but circumstances dictated my path.” It was about something he was supposed to do for me. I replied that I do not hold grudges and that he had done nothing wrong. But guilt took hold of him during our talk, and he asked for forgiveness. I told him I had already forgiven him last week. We had a wonderful conversation afterward. Why should unforgiveness and bitterness hold me captive— especially now, as we are on the cusp of realizing the goodness of Yah?

Serving Yah is not about:

  • Education
  • Age
  • Resources owned
  • Social media followers

It is about:

  • Humility
  • Love
  • Obedience
  • Faithfulness
  • Vision
  • Purpose

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
Matthew 10:7–8 – The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, and cast out demons.

Parting Shot:

Which one brings glory to God—
a huge crowd attending a disco, a political rally, or a Disney-land-level event…
or
a huge crowd attending a gospel crusade?

The judgment is yours.
