In 1999, I took a day trip to Seaside, Oregon from my home in Washington.  As I entered Astoria along the route, a spirit of intercession came upon me and I prayed in the spirit until I passed the roadsign that stated, “Entering Seaside, Oregon.”  At that moment, the Lord spoke to me:  “Pray that my people will be out of this city when the destruction comes.”

I did exactly that for years, commuting there every weekend to pray.  At one point I was told, “Now pray for my churches.”  Another time I was told, “I want you to believe me to remove every demon from this city that keeps the people from hearing my call for them to repent.”  That resulted in a direct and unforgettable conflict with Satan himself, who also arranged to have me run out of town by a local pastor twice contrary to what God wanted done.  I have not been back to minister since and have moved to Alaska, far beyond commuting distance.

Is Seaside still headed for destruction?  I don’t know, but Matthew 24, Revelation 6 and 18 point towards that probability as does the USGS in it’s earthquake and tsunami research.  If you live there, you had better get God’s mind about it.  Besides the Cascadia fault, there’s a dangerous undersea volcano directly offshore from there.  Don’t risk your life unnecessarily.  God will speak to you if you will listen and obey him.
