Psalm 18: 46

46 The Lord lives!
Blessed be my Rock!
Let the God of my salvation be exalted.

This morning, the 9th July 2021 at about 6:00 AM East African Standard Time, I had a short but interesting dream from the Lord. A dream with a dire message to those who are lukewarm, and hanging at the door! The dream is simple, but with a clear and profound meaning.

In the dream, it was evening time and I was inside the living room of this house. I sat on a single seater sofa that looked straight at the main entrance door to the house. The door was open, and I could see a little bit of the compound outside.

Two young girls (sisters, known to me) came and stood at the door. One held the doorframe on this side, and the other held the doorframe on the other side. The Lord presented the girls as small children of perhaps 5 to 7 years old although in real life they are both teenagers.

They did not enter the house, but instead lingered at the door, holding the frames of the door. They playing there at the doorframes. One began to put her hand dangerously between the doorframe and the door, while the other was touching the doorframe on the other side, running her hand along the frame in wondering, looking puzzled, as though trying to make sense of this doorframe.

I immediately called out to both of them, and they came inside the house to where I was. One came and leaned on the armrest on the left side of the single sofa, while the other came and leaned on the armrest on the right side. Then I talked to them and said:

“The door is about to shut. Your fingers would have been caught by the door, you would have gotten seriously hurt.”

The little girls nodded and smiled.

Then the dream ended.

RELEVANT SCRIPTURES:

Exodus 12: 22

22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.

The Narrow Way

Luke 13: 22 – 30

22 And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?”

And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ 26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ 27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ 28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. 29 They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”

There is a profound message in this simple dream. The believers who will be left behind will be severely hurt when the door shuts. And not just emotionally, but physically. They will have to be faithful even unto death, and shed their own blood in order to enter the Kingdom of God. Let us all prepare diligently in repentance and turning away from all sin so that we may be found inside God’s Kingdom, and not just at the door. The door is soon shutting.
