NATIONAL PRIDE. IT HAS NO PLACE IN CHRISTIANITY’

Nationalism. It has no place in Christianity.

National pride. It has no place in Christianity.

Your citizenship is in heaven.

This is not your home. Do not settle in here.

You are a sojourner only.

The nation where you were born is just the land I placed you in.

You may live in that nation all your life, but you do not belong to that nation, nor does that nation belong to you.

You belong to Me alone and you are a citizen of heaven.

Do you fly a national flag out the front of your home?

Where is the banner of the Lord Jesus Christ?

Why do you honour and love a flag, publicly showing allegiance to that flag and all that it stands for, when you know in your heart that your allegiance must be only to Me.

I Am your God. The flag is not your God.

The nation is not your home. It is temporary.

You shall be leaving soon.

And when you stand before Me on that Day when all will stand before Me, what will you reply when I ask you who you have sworn allegiance to?

Neither shall ye swear allegiance to any but Me.

Matthew 5:34 But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. 36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. 37 All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

Isaiah54: By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.’

Philippians 5: But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

nationalism : ideology based on the premise that the individual’s loyalty and devotion to the nation-state surpass other individual or group interests.
