I Saw the Light Expel the Darkness

In the night I had what was not a dream at first but teachings. This happens sometimes. I was being taught the importance of words said and written. They have a ripple effect as they go out – whether a conversation with someone or in a writing to relay something.

This was not so much in having misinformation as it was in using the best word in the best tone, as this can lead people, depending on the stage of their walk with Christ, to think in a different way than meant to be for the listener/reader. A new believer may take a word as ‘we are doomed’ while someone else may know ‘there is despair in this circumstance but in this despair we have instructions to turn this around’. The teaching was done with gentleness and there was no judgment. I always praise God for His teachings.

I realized in this teaching why, for instance, I hear a minister giving a heavy message holding nothing back and take it with joy. I send it to a friend to be blessed as well and they become frightened or burdened. Some say that when they surrender all to Jesus, the devil will come after them. They need to know the victory is already won. The devil doesn’t like Christ and he doesn’t like us either. Don’t stress that. He has already been kicked to the curb. Our testimony will lead others to Christ, and in leading others it will get our mind off ourselves and our own struggles.

Just before I woke, I did have a dream. It was very powerful but encouraging for any believer that is walking with Christ and wanting to be led by the Holy Spirit. In the dream, I was called outside. The Voice said, ‘Come out’! When I got outside I was back in the town where I grew up. The Voice didn’t say anything else, but I felt the Voice. It was to my right and just behind me. Off to the left was a cloud that could not have been any blacker. This cloud was void of anything but evil. I not only saw it, but I felt it. It came down to the ground but as it began to go outward, a white cloud appeared even further to my left. The black cloud stopped. Another black cloud touched down to the right of these and as it began to move out, another white cloud appeared next to it. I can hear the wind as I write.

This kept happening until the white cloud began going outward onto the ground and covering everything. I yelled, ‘It’s in the air! I’m breathing it! I can feel it!’ I have never experienced anything this intense.

By this time my vison had gone from as far as I could see to the left of the structure I had been in to looking all the way over to the right and I was now standing to the right of the structure. I had been moving as my eyes followed all this.

At this point, the Voice covered me. The white cloud permeated the ground, the air, and covered me. I could see nothing now but white. I couldn’t see anything of the darkness, I couldn’t see anything of the earth, I only saw the white. The cloud began to slowly lift me. I was lifted off the ground in protection. On my mind before this night was to wake up and receive the light of Christ.

John 1:5 KJV This then is the message which we have heard of Him, declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Psalm 18:2 KJV The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Ephesians 5:14 KJV Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Psalm 23 KJV The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
