Get Your Dog Tags, Get Out of the Cities

In a flash dream vision, the Holy Spirit showed me metal dog tags on a stainless steel ball chain, the specific type of identification tags worn by military personnel. These tags were not on a soldier in uniform, but simply dangling in the air.

As I awoke, I heard the words, “Get out of the cities.”

When I asked the Holy Spirit what the dog tags meant, He responded, “War is coming. Many who never thought they would be soldiers will be issued dog tags to identify their bodies upon death.”

The Holy Spirit added, “Because of the growing number of calamities—natural and manmade—civilians will also take up the practice of wearing custom dog tags, so their deceased bodies can be easily identified in the floods, fires, and earthquakes and their families notified of their death.”

He reminded me of the thousands of bodies still missing and unidentified, the remains of those who drowned in Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina during Hurricane Helene. Some of these bodies are still stored in refrigerated trucks, mobile morgues. Others lie hidden, buried deep in mud. Still others were torn apart by the force of the waters and lie in scattered pieces and fragments. Because these bodies were either not found or, if found, not identified, their families could not process life insurance claims and transfer property to beneficiaries in a timely manner. Some may have to wait years. Wearing dog tags helps in identification of remains and brings families some closure in their grief process.

When I asked the Holy Spirit what he meant by “Get out of the cities,” he pointed out that in war, enemy forces first target military installations, then energy infrastructure, and then cities. In shortages and famine, the cities are most vulnerable because the needs of a large population cannot be met. He told me to warn the heads of households who must work in the cities, to move their spouses and dependents to safer locations outside city limits. During World War II and at the height of the Cold War, many families who could afford to sent women, children, and the elderly to the countryside for safety. Now is the time to take such steps.

Thank you, Lord God, for the warnings you provide out of love for us. Though our nation is under judgement, we can seek refuge under your wings. Amen.

Scripture:

1 Kings 14:11 (AMP)

11 Dogs will eat those belonging to Jeroboam who die in the city, and the birds will feed on those who die in the country. The Lord has spoken!’

1 Kings 21:24 (AMP)

24 The dogs will eat anyone belonging to Ahab who dies in the city, and the birds of the air will eat anyone who dies in the field.”

Psalm 91:4 (AMP)

4 He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions,
And under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.

Isaiah 34:3 (AMP)

3 So their slain will be thrown out,
And the stench of their corpses will rise,
And the mountains will flow with their blood.

Jeremiah 16:4 (AMP)

4 “They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried; they will be like dung on the surface of the ground and come to an end by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the air and for the beasts of the earth.”

Luke 21:20-24 (AMP)

20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by [hostile] armies, then understand [with confident assurance] that her complete destruction is near. 21 At that time, those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are inside the city (Jerusalem) must get out, and those who are [out] in the country must not enter the city; 22 for these are days of vengeance [of rendering full justice or satisfaction], so that all things which are written will be fulfilled. 23 Woe to those women who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For great trouble and anguish will be on the land, and wrath and retribution on this people [Israel]. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled (completed).
