Falsehood in the Church

Anointed Melody

February 18, 2026

I dreamed I saw a man, like a pastor, in a church service with an altar. He was wearing armor that looked somewhat fake, almost like a costume. He kept dipping his hands into something on the altar and saying that it was very hot. He then turned to the church members and told them it was time for them to receive their anointing or blessing.

They lined up, and only a few remained in their seats. The others seemed to look down on those who did not line up. In the dream, I was there as an older woman, one of the members who chose not to line up. I was with two others whose names mean “holiness” and “followers of Christ.” We remained seated even after the service had ended, while the church employees gathered for a meeting.

The woman whose name means “holiness” began telling them some things, as if confronting them about wrongdoing. I do not remember her exact words, but they were not positive. One church employee became angry and asked me where our mother was, implying that the others and I were being childish. I responded, “Excuse me? I’m almost 60 years old!” After that, we left. I then realized that the other individual, whose name means “follower of Christ,” had already left before we did.

I pondered this dream for a while after I awoke and initially thought it might have one meaning, but I felt the Lord corrected me.

The interpretation I received was that many church leaders are caught up in false things—pretending to be holy, to know the Lord, and to do powerful works—when in reality they are being deceptive. Those who truly know the Lord and understand biblical truth are not falling for it and may even speak out against it. However, the church often stops up its ears, like the Pharisees, and refuses to hear the truth. True believers are labeled troublemakers, while others present themselves as mature in the faith, when in fact it may be the other way around.

Many true believers have already left false churches and have been serving the Lord faithfully, either in isolation or in fellowship with a small number of believers in homes or online.

For those who sincerely have a heart for the Lord and remain in regular church attendance, pray and ask Him to reveal whether there is any deception or falsehood within your church.
