Acts 16:16-23 KJV And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: [17] The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. [18] And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. [19] And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers, [20] And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city, [21] And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans. [22] And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them. [23] And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: Revelation 22:15 KJV For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Driving to a medical appointment, I was asking the Lord some questions. Some, who know me will focus our interactions about what is the “latest” Word the Holy Spirit is showing me that I haven’t publicly disclosed – as if, I am one of these false prophets, who post a daily Word from “The Father”…they want the newest, hottest news! Yet, we are shown in scripture that many of those Old Testament prophets were called to deliver a message were focused on the necessity of correcting their wayward behaviors and their path in life or face the consequences of judgment, they would be delivered into the hands of evil people because they were not living in obedience to the Lord’s laws.
There isn’t one messenger in scripture that I am aware of that told the people that prosperity was just around the corner, or commending the children on their righteous ways or that we would be rescued (raptured) on such and such a day. Nor, did they set up in a booth at the market delivering a daily word like the fortunetellers of old and present. Yet, today we have “prophets” that post daily or nearly so, their “latest dream from God” or “Word from God”. Did God suddenly change the way He does things after thousands of years or are they modern day fortune tellers masquerading as God’s servants? Many of these making a living being “daily prophets”, while those sharing God’s heart suffer ridicule, harassment, spiritual and physical attacks and living a humble life.
As I was passing an elementary school near my home, the Holy Spirit spoke to me. He reminded me of a book published years ago, that I found full of wisdom “All I needed to know I learned in Kindergarten: Uncommon Thoughts on Common Things” by Robert Fulghum.
Then, He said:
Most of my followers have never passed Kindergarten. They don’t advance to spiritual maturity. They fail to adopt the basic principles taught to children so that they can be trained to be effective members of society. Instead of becoming independent and developing skills like loving thy neighbor as themselves, and seeking the greater good, they continue to seek cozy experiences and rewards and most importantly gaining attention from others when instead they should be learning to serve others and sharing their bounty.
They are selfish, wanting someone to do the work for them. Feeding them those tasty morsels of knowledge without ever coming to Me and asking Me to lead them. They are lazy, shunning the skills they’ve been taught to allow them to develop into servants rather they prefer to be served.
This is very evident by the various committees and groups offered in the church today. The focus is on getting more. More money. More success in love, relationships and business. There is seldom any focus on developing a servant’s heart and seldom is there any community outreach, particularly those who are most needy, the addict, the homeless, the widows or the orphans (this isn’t just the offspring of those who have no parents but rather those who have been abandoned due to their parent’s incarceration or addiction) because they can’t give back (money into the church coffers). Those who can no longer attend church due to age or health are forgotten, because they no longer are “contributing to the church”. These abandoned ones feel even more isolated and depressed because even the body of believers could care less whether they live or die.
Instead of spending time alone with me in prayer or reading My Word, they are off searching for prophets sharing a word (not mine) on Instagram, Youtube and Facebook. Since they have not made the scripture their standard, they fail to realize how many of these false prophets now exist. When their prophecies fail, these false ones will minimize and dismiss their error saying that the searcher misunderstood what they shared or they say that they shared it too early and it would still happen, or they delete the posting so no one can see that they were lying the entire time. Sometimes, these false prophets will even attack their naysayers and publicly ask God to “get them”. More than one of these liars have publicly cursed my children for their exposure of their fraud. Yet, most followers keep listening to their lies failing to see the contradictions to scripture.
I wish my follower’s would spend as much time reading the Word which never fails, which never lies, which never makes false promises, instead of listening to these demonically possessed ones, who share their dream from the night before.
This is the sign of the apostate generation. Your faith is fed on a diet of lies instead of the life giving Word. You are many in number and you are all members of the church of Laodicea. Because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out on your final day as you stand before me. Unlike your favorite false prophet, I AM will not sugar coat a message to please your ears.
Judgment is here. Some, a small group of you will come back to your first love when all is taken from you but most of you will completely turn your back on Me and some will even curse Me. This has been accurately prophesied in My Word. I AM not a man, that I would lie.
Will you graduate Kindergarten, or will you continue to seek the soothsayers, who speak comforting words which lure you to fall further and further away from Me and My truth?
Stop your “Prophet Shopping” and return to your first love!
Repent. Repent. Repent.
You must repent for making these prophets your idols. For the time you spend with them, have become the god you serve. I AM the Lord God, creator of all things and you shall have no other gods before me.
