Be Faithful and Diligent & More Will be Given! – Humbled for Service

Psalm 149: 1

[1] Praise the Lord!

Sing to the Lord a new song,

And His praise in the assembly of saints.

I received a short dream yesterday morning, the 11^th December 2019, a dream that I believe is from the Lord; a call to be faithful and diligent in the tasks and duties that the Lord has assigned to every one of us, even at this very critical and late hour.

The dream is thus:

It was about 2:00 PM in the afternoon. I was in the company of another man, a man I have never seen. We were both very well groomed and dressed in business suits. We were walking into this large, neatly constructed circular office complex. It was a multi storey building, perhaps with 3 or 4 floors. The building had a very large parking lot outside for its vehicles. And there were very many vehicles parked on this parking lot.

The man was walking on my left side, and I understood that he was the owner of this company and office building.

We got into the office complex, and there were many offices in it, all facing the centre. At the centre of the building, there was an atrium or sky lighting and also some feature at the centre, a water feature or something like that. The building looked very clean and well kept. The walls were white with no speck or blemish on them. Every worker in the office complex had his or her own office. The offices were not extravagant in size, but were very comfortable with executive furnishings. Each had an executive desk and some visitor’s chairs at the front of the desk, some cabinets and other furnishings and equipment that would be required to make an office functional.

We got inside this particular office on the ground floor, and there was a lady there seated behind her desk.  Upon seeing this man enter her office, the lady rose from behind the desk respectfully. The man asked her to pack her things and leave the office. The lady picked her things and as she was leaving, the man asked her to surrender the company vehicle.

As the lady left, this man and I remained briefly in the office. The man then told me that henceforth this was going to be my new work location. We then left the office and went back outside to the parking lot. By this time the lady had gotten her things out of the car, and was walking back towards us. For we were not standing at the entrance, but on the outside porch.

She was crying as she came and handed the keys to me.

She said, “You have taken my job and my car!”

I receiving the keys, I went back to the office.

The dream then immediately changed to another scene. It was now evening before dark, perhaps around 6:30 PM. I found myself standing at the parking lot of what appeared to be a bar or night club. Apparently I was there too, to disposes someone of the company vehicle that was in their possession.

A person then came from inside this place (bar or night club) and took me to where the vehicle was parked. It was a double cabin 4WD pickup with a cover at the back. I opened the front door of the driver and began to look inside as thought to inspect it.

The dream then ended.

Matthew 25: 14-30

[14] “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. [15] And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. [16] Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. [17] And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. [18] But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. [19] After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

[20] “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ [21] His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ [22] He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ [23] His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

[24] “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. [25] And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

[26] “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. [27] So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. [28] Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

[29] ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. [30] And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Revelation 2: 5

[5] Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. 

I believe the Lord is calling us to be diligent in whatever tasks and assignments that He has given each and every one. He is warning us that those who will not be diligent, their tasks or ministries will be taken away, and performed by others who will be found to be faithful.
