Hesitation, doubt, fear, anxiety, apprehension, second-guessing; tricks of the evil one designed to delay, to stop, if possible, the work of Holy Spirit in our lives. Rendering us ineffective in the work of the LORD satan declares his endeavor a success. We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
The great falling away has begun. Men’ hearts growing more cold and callous as darkness descends upon the nation and around the world. Pockets of praise proclaim the goodness of God. Remnant warriors intercede in desperation and tears, knowing the day of salvation will soon be here, praying millions will remove their dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. But, the harvest is finished, and the summer is gone, the people cry, we are not saved! America’s only hope in JESUS Christ. Our hope will not be found in a party, a politician or a new president. Our hope is not in making America great again but in making her godly. We have allowed our hearts to become hard, we have become locked down to the ways of God. Our mind has locked God out of our thoughts, out of our lives. Our faith is weak, our grumbling loud, our nation lies in ruins, a shell of its former self and still we languish in hopelessness, clinging to memories of the past. In panic we grope about in darkness, amid uncertainty we cower in fear of what lies ahead. Our streets continue to flow with the blood of the innocent, perverse laws and lawmakers rule the land, alcoholism, suicide, physical abuse on the rise still we stand, shrouded in hopelessness, as panic and fear increase, knowing not what to do. But God has told us what to do…the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what He requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Let today be the first day of a new beginning for you and your family. Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked man forsake his own way and the unrighteous man his own thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion and to our God for He will freely pardon.
