A Warning of Sorrow for May 2nd
Posted May 1st, 2018: A word from the Lord
I feel led to share this but not to hold on to the outcome. God is in control if we see the fulfillment of this tomorrow, or in a future year on May 2nd. Based on where He led me as I worked through things with Him, this feels today like it is truly for tomorrow due to the way that He gave me alerts one week prior, like He showed me that He would, but one can never know for sure what God intends.
6 days ago (April 26, 2018) the Lord woke me at 2:00 am and said “come away with me”. My Fitbit showed 6 steps before I had gotten up (though it typically shows zero). I got up and got a drink of water. When I sat down to record this in my journal it was 2:06.
The Lord led me to Psalm 26: God’s Faithfulness
“Vindicate me, LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD and have not faltered. Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness. I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites. I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked. I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, LORD, proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds. LORD, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells. Do not take away my soul along with sinners, my life with those who are bloodthirsty, in whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes. I lead a blameless life; deliver me and be merciful to me. My feet stand on level ground; in the great congregation I will praise the LORD.”
Psalm 26:1-12 NIV
I felt led to understand the numbers 2 and 6 that were highlighted to me.
The number 2 –
The number 2 conveys the meaning of a union or verification of facts by witnesses. At the minimum, the testimony of at least 2 people were needed in the Old Testament to convict someone of a crime or sin. The validity of this teaching was confirmed by the Apostle Paul (1Timothy 5:19, Titus 3:10). In the End Time, two witnesses will appear on the world scene to testify and uphold the truth of God against the Beast and the False Prophet (see Revelation 11). Jesus sent the disciples out in pairs so that they could not only testify about his teachings and miracles, but also be witnesses of those who accepted or rejected the gospel (Mark 6:7 – 13).
The testimony of God is divided into Old and New Testaments. His agreements with mankind are divided into Old and New Covenants.
The number 6 –
In the Bible, the number 6 symbolizes man and human weakness, the evils of Satan and the manifestation of sin. Man was created on the sixth day. Men are appointed 6 days to labor. (We are nearing the end of the 6000 years on earth and the start of the 1000 year 7th day reign of Jesus on earth.)
A Hebrew slave was to serve six years and be released in the 7th year. Six years were appointed for the land to be sown and harvested. The number 6 is also associated with Satan in his temptation of Jesus.
The next night, (5 days ago) at 1:00am on April 27, the Lord nudged me awake again. He had been teaching me about leading others back to Him in my sleep. I felt like I was to take notice of the time. I had the thought that this was a count down of some sort the Lord was trying to show me. It took me a little bit of time to get out of bed. I sat down to spend time with the Lord at 1:11am.
I was then lead to read Psalm 111 – God’s faithfulness.
“Praise the LORD. I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness. He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever— holy and awesome is his name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” Psalm 111:1-10 NIV
I was then traveling for a ministry trip for a couple of days and did not get much sleep and needed to catch up upon my return. I went to bed early last night (April 30) because I felt so tired. I also felt the burden of the Lord and was sorrowful. I knew this was an internal burden and not because of external circumstances. I called my close friends to let them know what I was feeling and ask for prayer.
I was awoken last night and looked at my watch at 12:00am May 1st. I then went back to sleep after I was reminded how last week (6 days ago) the Lord woke me at 2:00am and1:00am and it felt like a countdown. Could it be that now the countdown (to something) is complete?
I awoke again at 1:40am and felt such a heaviness of my heart. I heard from the Lord “There will be great mourning and sorrow May 2nd.”
I then looked back at a recent post I made when the Lord asked me to understand when Noah entered the ark.
Scripture says it was the 17th day of the 2nd month. I wasn’t certain if that was the 17th day of Iyyar or not (because of the two different counts for the 2nd month) but this year in 2018 the 17th of Iyyar falls on May 2nd. In this same post, I share how it seemed important to me that the Lord had actually told Noah to enter one week before he actually did. It was like God had given Noah a 7 day (week) warning before the judgment began. I believed the Lord was saying that He would give us, as His children living in America, one week notice before judgment came.
The Lord led me to read Psalm 12 (through the 12am reference)- God will arise!
“Help, LORD, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race. Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts. May the LORD silence all flattering lips and every boastful tongue— those who say, “By our tongues we will prevail; our own lips will defend us—who is lord over us?” “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the LORD. “I will protect them from those who malign them.” And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked, who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.” Psalm 12:1-8 NIV
Last night I do not recall the specifics of my dreams but they dealt with children crying out.
Tomorrow, on May 2nd, it will be 7 days since the Lord first seemed to start a countdown with me. Had I been given a 7 day warning or alert of what is to come tomorrow May 2nd?
Today, my close friend who works at school took notice of 4 hawks “flying together in circles” while she was out for recess with the children. She told me that she felt something significant in her spirit. Hawks can signify judgment and war. The number 4 relates to the 4th day of creation where God created the sun, moon and stars to be signs to us. Did he place the hawks in the sky to be a sign to her to relate to me, as a 2nd witness and confirmation of war on our shores that is to begin tomorrow?
“And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.” Genesis 1:14-19 NIV
I believe the circle the hawks were flying in is very significant. The Lord led me to Isaiah 40 entitled “Comfort for God’s people”. This one chapter is full of encouragement – confirmation of what God has done and will do for His children!
“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins. A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!” See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as his counselor? Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding? Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing. With whom, then, will you compare God? To what image will you liken him? As for an idol, a metalworker casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it. A person too poor to present such an offering selects wood that will not rot; they look for a skilled worker to set up an idol that will not topple. Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?”
Isaiah 40:1-21 NIV
“He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.”
Isaiah 40:22 NIV
“He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. “To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God”? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:23-31 NIV
My flesh wants to believe for more time. I don’t want to see death and destruction coming to our own country, nor do I want to see it continue to rage in the Middle East. I don’t want to watch as children are made parentless or as parents lose their little ones. But I trust in the promises of God to protect His people and I fear the Lord to believe that every promise recorded in His book will come to pass just as He revealed thousands of years ago. As I have shared before, I believe that God will use America’s Denise to cause His people to come out of her (Babylon) to return fully to Him. These things must happen before Jesus returns and my heart so badly longs for His coming.
Lord, God, what do you have to say to your people in this hour?
(What I felt the Lord respond with)
“It will begin just as I have said.
Your nation can expect to receive the judgment that it is due. This will come forward by means of nature, through war, and economics. It has begun.
Cling to me for instruction in every moment. I will give you your daily manna. Go only where I lead you. Seek me for the words you are to speak.”
The Lord is as clear as He chooses to be. Each of us see only in part. I feel led to release what He has spoken to me and the understanding He has given me through His Word.
I ask each of you to seek the Lord for yourself, for understanding of what He is warning of and of What He would have you to do. I cannot say with certainty that tomorrow, May 2nd, 2018 will see a terror attack or a military attack involving America, or if we will see judgment come in the form of a natural disaster… I do not know for certain what will bring mourning and sorrow. The Lord did not clarify what he meant when I heard Him speak “There will be great mourning and sorrow May 2nd.”
Perhaps we will have more time, and in some future year on May 2nd, this word I heard will be fulfilled. My heart is not to “date set” in any way. I did not ask the Lord to tell me when anything would happen. I simply heard what I heard and the Lord has instructed me to share it based on the context that He gave me over the past week with warnings, and back in March when I shared understanding about how God warned Noah 7 days ahead.
I know that we are not to have fear about any future event because fear is never from God. We are to walk in the spirit being led by God in all that we do. We are to trust Him to guide us, provide for us, and protect us in all circumstances. God will make a way when there seems to be no way. May you hear Him, follow Him, and know His heart for you!
