A famine in the land

Nameless
“Suddenly, suddenly these things shall be unto you. One day there was no rain and the next day the deep opened up and the heavens opened with rain.
Wait on the Lord, I say wait for surely the things I have spoken to you will be. I’m preparing the hearts of man, of the many. Many will be lost, few will be saved.
Look around you what do you see? “I see an olive branch”. What do you see? “I see a basket with summer fruit”. You shall see the evidence of my words. I’m looking well over my words to perform them. I am not a God that I should lie. All takes time, takes patient endurance. I am going before you and I am making a way for you to walk in it. There is nothing for you to do but wait, but be still before me.
No man can do what I’m doing, no man can make a way through the valley of the shadow of death to fear no evil. I am with you.
I shall be unto you as a roaring lion in the midsts of wolves. You shall be as a dove in the presence of serpents. I have made a way through the darkness into my glorious light.
Seek not the things of this world they are fading quickly. In a little over a year they shall be begging for bread in the streets and the famine shall be great within the land, a famine for bread and a famine for my word unto them. Seek me while I may be found as my fury shall surely visit those who know me not in an hour they expect not.
Suddenly I come into my temple, suddenly I bring destruction, suddenly was there freedom to some and captivity to many.
Do not look to the ways of men, do not look unto his horses or chariots to come to you. Do not look back to Egypt, Do not look back as Lots wife to the wickedness of men that were destroyed. Look unto me to lead you, to guide you in all you do, to lead you to still waters and green pastures in the midsts of chaos and lack. I will be your everything rest in me, hope in me, look to me. There is no other way through the wilderness.
Those who go down to Egypt, those who turn aside my words and seek after man, the peace and security of man shall be led into captivity by the hand they have trusted in.
There is freedom only found on me, rest for your souls and life everlasting in my kingdom come.
Ah, beloved you know not the ways of your God and you cannot comprehend that which I have prepared for you, to those who’ve loved me. Lay it all down, trust me, follow me, I’m leading you back to the garden.”
Amos 8
This is what the Lord GOD showed me: behold, a basket of summer fruit. And he said, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then the LORD said to me,
Amos 8
Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD,
“when I WILL SEND FAMINE on the land—
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it.
Isaiah 32
Rise up, you women who are at ease, hear my voice;
you complacent daughters, give ear to my speech.
IN A LITTLE MORE THAN A YEAR
you will shudder, you complacent women;
for the grape harvest fails,
the fruit harvest will not come.
Tremble, you women who are at ease,
shudder, you complacent ones;
strip, and make yourselves bare,
and tie sackcloth around your waist.
Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields,
for the fruitful vine,
for the soil of my people
growing up in thorns and briers,
yes, for all the joyous houses
in the exultant city.
For the palace is forsaken,
the populous city deserted;
the hill and the watchtower
will become dens forever,
a joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks;
until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high,
and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.
Then justice will dwell in the wilderness,
and righteousness abide in the fruitful field.
And the effect of righteousness will be peace,
and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. MY PEOPLE WILL ABIDE IN PEACEFUL HABITATION, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. And it will hail when the forest falls down,
and the city will be utterly laid low. Happy are you who sow beside all waters, who let the feet of the ox and the donkey range free.
1 Thessalonians
While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then SUDDEN DESTRUCTION will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Malachi 3
“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will SUDDENLY COME to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts. But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years.
“Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the LORD of hosts.
“For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithe INTO THE STOREHOUSE, THAT THERE MAY BE FOOD IN MY HOUSE. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field SHALL NOT FAIL TO BEAR, says the LORD of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the LORD of hosts. “Your words have been hard against me, says the LORD. But you say, ‘How have we spoken against you?’ You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God. What is the profit of our keeping his charge or of walking as in mourning before the LORD of hosts? And now we call the arrogant blessed. Evildoers not only prosper but they put God to the test and they escape.’”
Then THOSE WHO FEARED THE LORD spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and esteemed his name. “They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. Then once more you shall see THE DISTINCTION between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.
Habakkuk 3
Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
GOD, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer’s;
he makes me tread on my high places.
Haggi 2
is the seed yet in the barn? Indeed, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the OLIVE TREE have yielded nothing. But from this day on I will bless you.”
Isaiah 51
For the LORD comforts Zion; he comforts all her waste places and MAKES HER WILDERNESS LIKE EDEN, her desertLIKE THE GARDEN OF THE LORD; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.
